What is a good key cutting machine to buy?

Postby Smcd86 » 15 May 2016 7:27

Hi everyone

I'm currently looking at setting up a car key cutting business and I am unsure of what machines to buy. I'm looking to get an automatic key cutting machine which can be upgraded and I would appreciate if anyone knows what type of machine I should buy and also one that won't cost me too much .

Id also appreciate if anyone can tell me a decent key programmer to buy ?

Any help would be great .

Thanks .

G'day mate,
We have members from many English speaking countries here. In order to give you advice on a machine and programmer best suited for your country, please let us know wherr you are from as this will tell what make and model vehicles are common in your geographical area.

Thanks

Hi mate thanks for the reply .

I am from Scotland and I'm looking for a decent machine which has a database and can possibly be upgraded online.

Im currently looking at starting a locksmith business and thats why i have joined the forum but I would also like to get a car key cutting machine and programmer and that's why I'm not sure of what ones to get as I have seen a few online but it's from these Chinese sites and I'm not sure if they are the real deal.

Cheers

So I presume you're looking for a code cutter? Not sure what your budget is but I've used the 3D Pro and 3D Pro Extreme for years. Plenty of bells and whistles for commercial, residential, and automotive. Worked great for me.

That does looks like a great machine and I will hopefully be able to get one of those one day just need to get myself up and running.

I have been looking at key cutters which could be used for commercial and residential use and also car keys which could help me start and then I will get the code cutter .

Thanks again for your help much appreciated .
