Practice lock and pick sets..?

Hello everyone. I've been picking locks for a few days now and need advice on how to best learn to deal with serrated, spool and mushroom pins. I have picked a couple dozen locks (four and five pin) that are seemingly without security pins. I SPP any of them within 30 seconds but struggle with anything containing security pins. I have done a lot of research on how to identify what pin I'm dealing with and how to do them but have been unsuccessful in picking this plastic bodied master craft lockout lock that I have. Videos claim all six pins are security pins.
I believe part of my problem is the picks I have purchased. It was basically the cheapest set I could find because I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it. Well I'm hooked. My tension wrench is very short and made of round bar with only flat areas on each end. The other picks are wide and jam periodically in key way.
I was hoping someone could direct me to a good practice lock with interchangeable spool, serrated and mushroom pins. Is it beneficial to use a cut away one so I can visually see what I'm feeling or is that a crutch best left unused? The ones I've seen are just a cylinder. Does this need to be secured in a mount?I was also hoping someone could direct me to a good set of picks. I may decide to make my own using .018"-.020" feeler gauge down the road but would like a better set until such time. Thanks in advance!

Banggood has some "ok" picksets and cutaway locks. Not too expensive, but not the best quality either. But maybe something to try your hand at. They are in China, so it takes forever and a day for your stuff to arrive, but then again, not pricey either.
