Lockpicks.com is great, I recently placed an order with them and I got it within two days. They mixed up a couple of the picks I got, but I emailed them and they shipped out the correct one that day free of any charge. Great place.

I have used them twice with no problems and they were friendly when I had a question. Another advantage is that the parcel doesn't contain any mention of being lock picks so in both cases UK customs haven't opened it or charged me tax on it.

FWIW, I ordered the 13 piece spring steel set from lockpicks.com on Nov 3, and it arrived yesterday (Nov 10). Not opened by customs, and amazingly quick for an OS site. Only downside was the receipt in the package has had the RHS trimmed off, so prices etc. don't appear. OK though, as I know what I paid
BTW, Hi everyone - this is my first post. Got interested in picking as I made a pick from a hacksaw blade a month or two ago (from the MIT guide), and picked my front & back doors (Lockwood deadlocks) in < 5 minutes on the first go. I'm hooked!
Better go read the FAQ now, huh?
Simon.

Hi Nicator,
The prices are removed from the invoice for your benefit (and somewhat for lockpicks.com). If you notice on the Customs declaration that the value is probably marked at $15 or $20 which means that you pay no duties to get the item. Now if the invoice inside had that actual value printed on it and Customs opened the package they'd know that the value on the declaration was wrong and they'd hit you with a 20% import duty (depending on the actual value).
So say thanks to Barrett and enjoy your picks

When I ordered some picks from lockpicks.com they mixed up two of the picks, but after I emailed them they sent me the right ones free of charge. All the other times it has been great so I'm not worried and would order from them again. The packages I received were all labeled "hand tools" so they weren't thought of as suspicious items.

All you need to do is order something that you must have within a week. It's almost a natural law that if you order 15 items and only really need 1 immediately, the one item that you really need will either be forgotten out of stock or mistaken for something else. I've got a nice collection of brand new key machine cutters that don't fit anything I own, thanks to Murphy.
