Garage door EM release lock

Postby Lvcondo » 30 May 2016 17:04

Hello, first time post. I'm somewhat of an amateur lock picker. I have a midsize set that I used to use for work to open padlocks but nothing more than that. My condo has a detached garage with no outside and no windows. My garage door opener is failing to work for whatever reason and I don't want to have to break the door to get in. The attached photo is a picture of the lock. I'm currently trying to figure out how to pick it to turn and release the emergency latch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your picks open padlocks, this should be a breeze.

Easier to replace the Garage door opener with a universal garage door remote. If you mess up that garage door lock, while picking it, you're really going to have to break in.

I've tried picking it with several different Tools in my inventory and I've had no luck. I don't want to force it too hard and mess up the door. Most of the padlocks I would open were just master ore similar padlocks on Gym style lockers at an athletic club. I can't use a universal garage door opener because I don't have an access to set the code from the garage door. Is there something I can purchase that would allow me to broadcast multiple codes and open the door that way?

You have a garage and the only door to access it is the overhead door? You should call a locksmith, for your safety and ours, since we have no proof that this is your garage.
