Formal training...

Postby TheDave5150 » 9 Jun 2016 14:17

So, not sure if this is necessarily the place to ask, but if I was considering furthering my education on locks, lockpicking, etc.. or considering training to become an actual locksmith.... How would I go about it? I live in Texas, have tried finding a brick and mortar locksmith shop, to see if they had any info willing to share, or might take on an apprentice... but all the locksmiths I found were mobile operations.... Any ideas?

Texas, huh? That really narrows it down. See if you're located near one of Cothron's locations. They're very pro-apprentice. I learned a good deal from their operations manager; he's ALOA's education manager currently. Good guy, very smart.
