Nice looking picks and case! What material did you make the picks from?

I use electricians fishing line from Klein Tools and often material from garden rakes and bar b q skewers all the way to antique knives and spoons!

Those are real nice looking. I'm digging the long slender look, it's what I imagined lock picks looked like before I got interested enough to look online for some.
It's stuff like this that inspired me to buy a belt sander yesterday, and I've been sniping various woods off of eBay for the last two weeks.

thanks, I like the slender look also. I purchased a Peterson Gem recently and its nice and great quality but I still prefer some of my own. Now if only I had a laser cutter plotter thingy.

My first batch was a lot of knife/pistol grip blanks with 2 pairs of Wenge, Bocote, Padauk and Canarywood. I got it mainly for the padauk, and wenge. the bocote is interesting too. The rest I've gotten have been acrylic dyed maple and a pair of spalted alder.

I haven't done much wood working in the past, more metal fab stuff.

I don't see picks with that long handles much often. Do they have any benefits because of it?
