Electronic pick "E-pick" experience.

E-pick g! Tips-tricks.

I would like to share with you my experience in the hope that gives you more successful picking.

My first e-Pick was a nonane Made in China. 1-2 cheaper locks I managed to open with it.
I newer had to much success, so I quietly put it away.
A few months later, I started over and started experimenting.

1. Of course we know every lock is different. For example: spring force, length, material ...

This is a verily patience game, but we must trie in the settings of the e-pick to set the ideal motion. Use the slider knob on it.
With very fine, small changes. After a while we will manage to hit the ideal setting for a specific type of lock. When we achieve this we can mark the position. Next time we will know what kind of force is required for a specific type of lock.

2. Of course we should not ignore the fact that the pins are different length and position. For example, if there are relatively small differences between the pins it is easy to deal with. However, if there are significant differences it is worth to use a kind of wave motion while slightly moving in-out.

3. Perhaps the most important factor in the proper use of the tension tool. The tension tool should be used with very fast left-right direction of motion. Because while in process, the open position is just a mater of milliseconds. We need to catch the moment. So there's a greater chance,
we must make a special tension tool.
From piece of wire even.

We must place the tension tool in the upper part of the cylinder plug and move it left or right.
This motion should be very quick!
The opening direction does not matter.
At least we can have a chance to use our plug-spinner.

I hope this is helpful.

I accidentally ordered an electric pick once, about 25 years ago & I was so happy when the owner of Septon, Inc. told me
to send it back for a refund! I'll never make that mistake again, now I just use my mechanical pick gun and it does work

It is very handy to have. Perhaps not for hobby pickers, but if you are a locksmith I can imagine it could make things much easier.
