Locks and keys and all that stuff are nice to make a living but you need to get away from the bench for awhile and do something else.
In my case, it has been a life long interest in radio - specifically ham radio, and short wave listening. I know radio is so old, but remember that smart phone you carry is a radio. SO is TV and anything else which uses a wireless connection to the outside.
So this is my shortwave side of the radio biz ...

That is a Zenith Trans-Oceanic D 7000 Y, the last of the Chicago TO's. i have had it since new, like 1975 and heard the world on it. There are way too many highlights to just count a few, but here is a couple, like the 1980 Moscow Olympics -- the US didn't go but we did via shortwave and have the QSL cards and other goodies from the event. Someplace around here we have a stuffed "Misha Bear" the symbol of the Moscow games, but i think the daughter waltzed off with it. (kids).
The fall of communism heard over R. Moscow -- the Tienanmen Square event of 89 over R. Peking. and tons of other cultural and political events heard live over the international radio.
If you are asking, I am a ham, and I normally use a Icom 7000 transceiver for that work. Have worked the world and have the QSL cards to prove it.
So what do you do besides work the locksmithing trade?
