Looking for ILCO Universal code disks and setup keys

Postby grcameron » 2 Jun 2016 11:36

I just purchased an old ILCO Universal code machine in good condition. It has code discs for Schlage, but no setup keys. I'm looking for some extra discs - preferably Kwikset but would be happy with other common applications.

My machine has the copy dog but is missing the tracing stylus parts. I plan on making replacements.

Do you have suggestions where I might purchase some discs?

Thanks!

I have seen them on e-bay from time to time, usually with a code machine

Depth keys was where I was headed. ILCO made specific setup keys that positioned the cutter at the correct distance from the shoulder for the first cut. The remainder of the blade was at 0 or 1 bitting, depending upon the manufacturer. The keys were made of nickel silver for durability.

Anyone with a code machine can make you a set on original schlage keys, which are also nickel silver
