Just for the sake of adding to this madness, I had to rekey some locks on a relatively new building last week. They were Yale, LFIC cores. Half were 6-pin cores and half were 7-pin cores. I had to order some 7-pin control blanks and still cut the shoulder back to make the 8th-pin control space. This architect/contractor went crazy when he ordered these.
And yes, these are commonly available but probably would be a special order from your usual supplier.
