Someone Broke Into My Truck

Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

Someone Broke Into My Truck

Specifically, they broke into the utility bed by pulling hard on the rear handle.

I'm thinking about buying the following: https://www.amazon.com/American-Lock-A8 ... +lock+hasp

What say you all?

Sorry about the break in, that sucks!

That hasp and padlock would be a good solution.

It makes the other guy's truck look easier, You might be able to use some big stacked fender washers under the nuts and get some grade 5 carriage bolts
I like to add a locknut on top of the nut, or locktite on vehicles

Thanks. Since I've got a hollow rear door (with one inch of space), I was thinking about putting 1/4" thick x 3" wide x 1' - 2' long steel bar behind the outer door shell and underneath the nuts. Maybe that's overkill but I'm not happy about the break in. They did more damage than the four tools they stole, although one of the tools was my 20 year old Husky channel locks that I really liked.

I put an earlier model of that hasp and lock on my brother's truck tool box like 20 years ago after it was broken into &
nobody has bothered it since

I like using steel bar & plate for washers too, especially on the bins and big stuff that can break free in an accident
