Gday Guys,

As promised, this time I took some before pics. Got this machine for a reasonable price, considering the rarity of these out my way, but man, it was a bit tired.

So after a blast, paint, thorough clean, here she is now! I also shimmed and adjusted everything, made a few new disc sets, and after seeing the mod in one of the other threads here, added the dials.

Super happy with the result!

Very nicely done! Always good to see older equipment restored to use, and made to look great. :D

Thanks Guys,

Used it to do a key off the dials today, accurate to within a coupla thou :D Found that the discs on the other hand were a little more hit and miss. The ones I made myself are good to about 4 thou, but some of the old worn ones can get a bit ugly. Deeper cuts are also all a little deep across the board with the discs. Im assuming this is due to uneven wear on the depth lever face. That is, the deeper end of the lever no longer keeps to the disc scale. No big really though, only out by 7 - 10 thou, still nothing to complain about.

Thanks for the votes for the green! I was trying to keep it original, but when I got it it had had several coats of paint, and I couldnt decide which was original. I also suprisingly didnt find that many good pictures of it on the net, so green it became.

Nice work. I have an Exacta 2 key punch languishing under my bench. I might just paint it green too when I get motivated to clean it up! :D
