Padlock Help

Having recently started to learn how to pick mostly for the curiosity and the fun it provides (love a good challenge) i was able to pick a padlock and a pin tumbler lock altough i having some understanding how it works, im having a troubles about an old padlock i just cant pick it, the only picks i own are rake picks (homemade) but the damm thing refuses to open looking to it from the side (rigth side) i see it like this

Sorry about the crapy design i wil try to get a digital camera :roll: but all the balls correspond to the where the pins are but the key only has five holes (you know where the pins rest when the key is in the lock) but waths thath misaligned six ball?
Can please someone give me a help, this padlock is fabricated by Guard im in Europe Portugal so i dont really know if that brand is known to you.

i have a padlock that has a similar design and i do believe the 6th hole is for the shackle locking mechanism, i have a digi cam, so i'll take a pic to make sure this IS what it is.

there, i gueiss i was wrong about the shackle retainer, and my padlock is a 5 pin there seems to be 1 extre pin hole, perhaps for a 6 pin model?? anyone else have any suggestions?

ok, the 6th pin hole is the cylinder retainer.

and the cylinder looks like this:

the retainer should be a long alluminium pin with a stiff springthen the pin retainer on top.

most of the small brass locks have these, the larger ones are on the face of the lock, usually where the makers logo is.

Thanks for the tips, later i noticed thath the key turned to the rigth side without passing trough thath six hole.
Maybe im not yet proficient enough but i will try later tonigth to pick it again.

Just one more thing how did you took the cilynder apart from the padlock?
