Success on Medeco

Ok, I cant go into any detail as to how I picked it because it belongs in the Advanced area but I can at least put up a pic of it picked...

I just got the Medeco KIK from the "ReStore" and figured I would learn to pick them...
I tried a few times and couldnt get it, then I read something and tried again.... Opened in a few minutes.

Will be taking it to a lockie to have him re-key it.

Opps, yeah Habitat for Humanity Restore... I like to visit there looking for lock stuff and I found a box that had 2 Schlage KIK's and 2 Medeco KIK's.

I found a few Abus padlocks at the one in Calif when I lived down there.... sold them to the Locksmith I used to do work for.

I'd encourage the use of the Restore. It's for a great cause. I used to volunteer a lot for Habitat for Humanity when I was in CA. Unfortunately there isn't an HforH or Restore anywhere reasonably close to where I am now.

They take donations too. So if you have a bunch of stuff you are looking to get rid of, they'll take it. They are a 501(c) too, so it's tax deductable.

Check back with the Restore frequently, their inventory changes all the time depending on donations and what they have left over from builds.

When Iived in Calif and wasnt disabled, I remodled a few houses top to bottom and made sure to keep anything usable, I would call them every time I had a truck load and they would send someone over. If I didnt have that much I would load it myself and take it to them.
