getting started

Hi , just started of playing with locks , got a goso 24 piece pick set a few months ago for my 52 birthday , have brought a couple of practice locks and totally enjoy messin about with them seeing the gubbins , some onegave me a pound shop lock and even for a newbie like me a done it lol just a wire at the back , i found an abus 65/40 in a drawer today and have spent about 10 hours playing about with it , but no joy and i have no key ,but will carry on with it ,a good challenge , i would like to buy another set of picks that good for uk locks and padlocks , whats a good choice ? , any way having great fun with a new hobbie, thanks every one ju

Here's my latest thoughts on pick sets .

For you, I'd recommend either a Southord set (C2010 if you're in the UK or Europe or another set if you're in the US - I'm not qualified to give advice as my focus is on UK locks) or one of the sparrows sets / individual picks .

For a US based set, it would really depend on what you are working with. You could go with one of many southord sets or a set from sparrows. But since you said you wanted to focus on European locks, I am guessing you are in Europe.
