New Toy - MTL N18HE1 Padlock

Postby GWiens2001 » 8 Aug 2016 21:09

Just got a new toy from WCP today. It is the newest addition to my DNDTLOYF collection. (For those who have not followed my locks over time, DNDTLOYF is my Do Not Drop This Lock On Your Foot collection).

Been a long day, so no break down. Just a couple pics to show the size of this beast.

Image

This is a model that has been discontinued for a while, so been trying to find one for sale or trade for well over a year now. It is the N18HE1 model.

Look at the shackle compared to my fingers and hand!

Image

That shackle is 18mm thick! Just a hair under 3/4", for the Americans in our viewing audience. :)

Another day I may take it apart for a breakdown, but too tired now. Think I already took apart a smaller model of the same lock style a while back, so don't feel any real motivation to do so.

Have fun, guys and gals!

Gordon

That is one way to make a shackle bolt-cutter resistant. Make it too large for any pair of bolt cutters to get around.

That's a beast! There aren't many locks with the shackle bigger than a finger.
Are you going to update your profile pic?

Cheers

Now that's a padlock! I really like the black w/ blue bumper. Is that regular paint? It looks like it's textured.
