What is a disk detainer?

Postby Boogerhooker » 14 Aug 2016 21:50

I'm a n00b and trying to learn from the many posts here. Several times I have run across mention of a "disk detainer." I assume it is some sort of lock, but it isn't in the glossary of terms here.

My search led me to believe that it may be an advanced topic, but I am hoping to learn something of what one is, perhaps some basic info of how to recognize one. I understand that it may not be possible to go into detail with the mechanics, but my curiosity has been aroused.

Sorry if this has been covered, but I didn't find it.

|I would consider it a Advanced limit just because of the specialized equipment needed to pick them

this should explain it .. I dont have a lot of experience with them ..
When I finally leave this world.. Will someone please tell my wife what I have REALLY spent on locks ...

Thanks! I don't know if I've ever run into one of those. It looks intimidating.
