I believe you but you just aren't normal

A skilled metal tradesperson should be quite capable of filing a cylinder key by hand including Medeco. I am not a skilled one, but I have produced quite a few pin tumbler keys with a file.

Well, then I'll just toss the Framon in the trash--Won't need it anymore, peterwn said so  *

*I believe I was told to use the green smiley in these type instances...

Before you toss the Framon, Bill, be sure you get yourself a good set of Harbor Freight needle files. :P

Will say that a machine is a lot faster than filing by hand. And for a locksmith, time is money. It never bothered me to file a Medeco key by hand, but for me, it was a hobby intended to fill time.

Just when you finally think you have learned it all, that is when you learn that you don't know anything yet.

I have done medeco angled cuts before, by duplicating on a normal key machine and then finishing off/adjusting for the angles using a file, they worked fine.

This was actually a tip in the Locksmith Ledger like 25 years ago
