Homemade folding pick set

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Homemade folding pick set

Postby Ffyter » 8 Sep 2016 11:56

I have been a long time lurker of this forum. I wanted to make a small pickset that I could carry with me easily in my pocket. I looked at alot of the jack knife style sets but wanted something smaller and I don't like the tension wrench that came with them. [image][/image]I made the picks out of dollar store paring knives which already have the hold drilled. I made the tension tool out of a thick wiper blade insert (heated and bent) and then used tinkercad to come up with the handle that is 3d printed. There is a slot in the handle that holds the tension tool. The tension tool is used to tighten the phillips screw once the pick is rotated into place to hold the pick snuggly. I can't remember what size screw it is in case anyone is wondering.

None of your pictures came through.. I make it a point to hit the Preview button (Next to Submit) when I attach pictures
When I finally leave this world.. Will someone please tell my wife what I have REALLY spent on locks ...

Thank you! I tried to do it through the recommended photo hosting site and it looks like I messed that up too. Ha!

That's happened to me before, but I don't know what caused it. When I caught it in the preview, I had to erase the entire link and put it in a second time before it worked properly.

I think It might be because of the google drive .. and it is not a .jpeg.gif.tiff format.. What I do is make them private on my Facebook page and then use that link to save images.

Sorry for Jacking your Photo ..

Nice work, this looks like a pretty cool set. If I had a 3D printer I would spend way too much money printing stuff for picks.
