Do you have a standard 2 in 1 or do you mean a curtain wheel pick.

And if it's a 2 in 1 pick which brand is it? RB? Souber? I take it it's a universal pick and not a safe pick?

If you mean the legs are too long then you may need to simply file them a little.

i dont fancy filing my tool or the lock. cant understand why what would seem like such a universal tool is proving to be such a pain. if i have to start filling my 2 in 1 or the key hole may as well drill the lock and use a bit of old wire which i dont want to do. my 2 in 1 bubble is beginning to burst

Ooohhh the Souber one, not very good quality. One of the legs broke on mine after the first 30 seconds of use, £40 down the swanny! And someone else on here had THREE break on him in a week and he knows someone else who has broken two!

Souber just blame it on the tension you exert but I hardly had time to exert any before mine broke! The legs do generally need adjusting on them but be careful as they could easily break.

when i saw that tool in action i thought, mothing is ganna stop me now. i feel like snapping it in half now. surely somebody somewhere could invent a tool that opens every mortice lock. we can fly to the moon but have to mess around forever to open a door without a key!!!

it sounds like you expect magic tools, take the advice you asked for or ring the guys who trained you for some advice.

Not sure what gauge pick you have Inmator but if its 7g you should at least get it in most non bs locks.I can only think its larger gauge and youre trying insmaller gauge locks.
