Fixing padlocks

Postby Mac54576 » 21 Oct 2016 11:46

My friend and I have been practicing lockpicking on some Master locks. We both have come to a problem where the pins will freeze and no matter what we do we can't get them to reset. I'd like to know how to fix this problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)

If they are old, they probably need some lube.

What kind of lube works best?
Or what kind of lube is cheap but is good?

There is an entire thread on lock lubricants here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=50956&p=469903&hilit=lube#p469903

I use WD-40 for my practice locks...

Graphite works well but can be messy. I use lock lube my 3 in`1 on my practice stuff.

I use wd-40 too, who knew fish oil could be so useful?

Heck, I always thought it was just liquefied miracles in a can. WD40 has gotten me out of a lot of jams (initially no pun intended, but it turned up so I'm running with it).

It is the jack of all trades lubricant, master of none.
