When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

The tensioners are made from bike spokes. I saw someone suggest it in the forums and tried it out. the king or queen is from a piece of drain snake. just made with a three dollar set of files from hf and a couple chainsaw files. They still need some final finishing.Image

if you make the area that contacts the key way at the top sharp it grips pretty well. they're a little flexible so if you like that...
