Medeco locks?

I just bought these locks off eBay. Has anyone ever seen locks like this from Medeco?

Someone installed Medeco and took all their old Schlage keyway cylinders and put them in the Medeco boxes. Then someone who probably didnt know any better put them on ebay as Medeco cylinders. Sadly, not the first time I have seen this sort of thing.

Ahh yea, go figure. Well I can sell them to get my money back and make practice locks and sell them too. New ones to the collection either way

Without keys they might be worth max $1 - $1.50 each.

Brand new I pay $3.56 for the LSDA cylinders with a pair of keys, those are the top ones.

The Ilco cylinders are about $8.00.

So used they should be less but you never know on eBay. People will by anything. :o

Wow, nice! Yea, I'm just hoping to get about $5 a piece on them. Going to make a lot of them into practice locks

I would demand a refund personally since they clearly misrepresented the product (unless in the pictures they showed the actual cylinders out of the boxes

I would too and it wouldn't be my first time either, I hate getting ripped off and all you got to do is contact E-Bay and check the box
that says 'contents were not as represented' and most sellers will immediately contact you back, promising a full refund upon return
of their scam materials, cause they don't want E-bay getting involved and closing their account--Don't take any junk off of E-bay, you
might hafta off Craig's List, but not E-bay

cledry has a point. $5 each is pretty steep for what they are. I agree with the others, I'd file it with eBay and try to get a refund if the seller listed them as Medeco cylinders. It was either a scam or someone ended up with all those boxes and didn't know any better than to call them what was printed on the box...Either way, you should not have to eat it.

I think I'm pretty stuck. They did show the cylinders outside of the box and said they didn't know anything about them and were "as is". They had a good rating, but not a whole lot of sells. I think the person was honest and I screwed up

I highly doubt E-Bay will see it that way when you explain that you were tricked into believing these were actually Medeco Locks,
due to the boxes being present in the picture--Last week I bought one lot of used Mortise Cylinders, I thought, because there was
a picture of a whole bunch of mortise cylinders in the photo, a few days later, when I received one old mortise cylinder, I immediately
disputed it and got my money back right away--It never even actually got past the vendor to E-Bay, because, as I said earlier, the seller
wants to keep their scam going, and will return your money before E-Bay steps in & closes their account

Any and Every time I am disappointed with a purchase I let someone know, except that one time I bought a bunch of Medeco cylinders
that I had no blanks for, they were actual medeco locks, so I couldn't see a reason to complain

The formula is really quite simple--If you thought you were buying Medeco locks and you didn't get any, you can demand a refund
