Diebold Safety Deposit Box Guard Key

I have been searching high and low for the following information and can't find anything. I bought a Diebold composite safe at auction filled with safety deposit boxes. I have most of the "renter" keys for the boxes, but not the "Guard" key(s). The few boxes that I don't have the renter keys for, have already been drilled/popped open.

How do I do about getting a new guard key? Is it possible to use one of the drilled doors to create a matching guard key since the guard key hole was not touched?

Presuming the guard key is the same for all boxes (which is likely), yes. Using a blank (or flat bar brass stock), impression a key, or disassemble and measure levers, then cut appropriate key.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply. I am no locksmith, but based on my reading an impression or a disassemble would probably be able to be done by a locksmith. I will call a local company and see if they could offer that service.

Your cheapest option would be to remove a lock from one of the drilled doors and bring that to a locksmith. If you're unsure about how to remove it, remove the whole door and bring that to him.

Chances are good that it is one of the stock Guard keys that most locksmiths keep on a ring.

That would be great if a Locksmith has a key and can make me one. I see there are only two screws holding the lock to the inside of the door so that should be easy enough to get off. If not, as suggested the door comes right off.
