Honeywell, but what's the model?

Forgot how to dial the combination on that old safe? Think you got the right numbers but the handle is stuck? What safe should you buy? Ask your safe questions here!

Honeywell, but what's the model?

Postby Silverado » 3 Nov 2016 8:06

I was given a Honeywell keypad safe that the owner lost the keys and forgot the combo to. It's got a sticker with No.: HWA12070691 on it and that number isn't yielding any results.
Anyone know the model so I can get more info on it?

Have you tried to remove the plastic cover in the middle and pick the lock under that? It should open it.
Once the door is open you can reset the combo.

Cheers :)

It's a cheap import safe that about a dozen different companies from Brinks to Honeywell to other ilk used to sticker their names onto. femurat is right, pop the cover off and pick the wafer or tubular lock. That thing probably doesn't have a model number. The new honeywell import safe keypads look different.

Excellent! Thanks for the help!
I haven't had time to mess with it yet, but it didn't look like the cover comes off.
I'll find out for sure later today.

Nothing but mounting bolts, user manual, and mounting template inside.
Less than 2 seconds it was open, bounced. Changed the combo.
Lol, maybe there will be treasure next time.

I have a similar problem, except the "safe" is my own and the battery died. I don't have a key and haven't been able to pick it (I suck at double sided wafers for some reason).
Can you PM me that video and I'll see if that works!

Thanks a million
