Thank you. I want a good quality travel lock, as the ones I have got from the big box stores, e.g. Master, have often had their combination stuck or the U shaped part of the lock stuck.

I will start a new thread about it!

Thanks

I'll save you the trouble. If it is a TSA-compatible lock, it is not, and never will be, secure or high quality.

Just when you finally think you have learned it all, that is when you learn that you don't know anything yet.

...and if you do put a good lock on luggage they will destroy it or your luggage or both.

If you're concerned with the safety of your luggage please watch this video on how to secure your luggage properly...

The last time I went through an airport to travel was in 2014 and I neither used TSA approved locks, nor did they ask me to open my luggage. If I have anything of value while I'm traveling I'm not going to fool around with the chintzy locks the TSA wants people to use.

First if you travel overseas that bag with those locks will attract undue attention and in most countries they will be opened with or without your consent. Secondly Pelican cases can be opened by using a bypass method that can only be discussed in the advanced forums. . I had it happen at NY LaGuardia. Traveled throughout Colombia, multiple flights no problems, get to the USA and the thieves opened the case to steal things. Go figure.

I was going to do a keybox for my driveway chain, but are they not trivially easy to open? You can actually push the buttons and the harder to push ones *are* the code. And you can push them in any order and it will open.
