My father-in-law bought a cheapo MasterLock 643DASTWD 4 wheel letter combination lock. I know all about the quality of MasterLocks, and this wasn't going to be protecting anything of value. He went to change the combination from the preset "PLAY", following the instructions. He said he felt something "slip", and now the shackle will not lock and it will not depress enough to attempt to reset the combination again. I've attempted to decode with a probe and tried using pressure to find binding wheels etc. If it was locked, I'd be able to figure it out easy enough. Im unable to locate any gates. I'm wondering if it's just broken? I like a good challenge and at the $6 price tag, it's as good as junk as far as he is concerned. Anyone have any insight? Link to image above. I wrote username and date for verification.

Thanks!

Nevermind. Figured it out! Turns out it wasn't broken! Just stubborn.
