Possible to copy key Assa Combi 4800?

Postby swealpha » 7 Mar 2017 11:24

Hello!

Do you guys know how or where i can copy this key for my apartment door?

I could send it world wide  , it costs ~950 EURO here because i will need to change the whole system.

I found this on eBay, looks like some type of "blanks" of the key?

We can not help you to copy that key. The blanks are restricted, and it would be us helping you get another key for a lock you do not own.

We appreciate your situation, but we also have to respect the security system the owner of the apartments has set in place.

Also, the keys you linked to are not for ASSA Twin systems.

Most likely it is a restricted key blank. The sidebar codes is what makes then unique. I can get blanks for ASSA Twin and the others that use the same type of side bar. The sidebar in the Twin type is coded into the side bar and uses common side pins. Codes that are available, if you can find a source, are 599 and 799. Others are still restricted. There may be a Combi code that is open and available. But the Combi uses a flat sidebar and uses coded finger pins. The Finger pins come from Denmark and are available for purchase, but to get a particular key blank may not be possible unless thru the locksmith that set up the system.

As Gordon said, we cannot help you copy a key to property you do not own. Its going to be up to the owner.

Seriusly, no way to find someone that can help me copy this key? I know it is restricted, but i am not a thief i will use it my self. :!:

From the sound of it, you would likely be able to just replace the locks this key fits for less money

The OP is in an apartment, and it sounds like they lost a key and do not want to pay the cost of replacing the key system as the landlord says.

We have said that we can not help you with this, and that the keys are restricted. Am locking this thread.
