I would think in the age of the internet there would be more locks like this!

Never seen anything as complicated as this one. Similar ideas to some of the strange locks I have researched, but it puts all of the oddities and jams them together.

I want people to make weird locks like this with modern sensibilities... but maybe the most modern sensibility is not caring about your locks.

Whats to stop a wouldbe thief to just press the button and reset the counter.

Two things:
- you have to know there's a reset button;
- the reset put it back to zero, not where it was before.
