I have this key to a bike lock I own and I dont know what type it is or how to pick it.

If you're a beginner, you're honestly not gonna be picking that kind of lock any time soon, plus you already have the key to your bike lock, so no real reason to be picking it anyway, right? =)

OnGuard makes bike locks with this style key. Uses a slider mechanism; not impossible to pick, but requires thoroughly understanding how these work. Google "Bell Lock" (not the cheap bike accessories mfg, rather a style of lock cylinder patented c. 1920s).

Since we are talking bike locks, that's about all I'm comfortable saying :)

im trying to become well rounded in lock picking. Im pretty young so i have a limited number of resources to research with.

i also lost all but the key to that lock so there was no way for me to find out what type of key it was.
