That's not the way to endear yourself to compatriots.

Learn some respect, I suggest.

XD usually people from massachusetts own that phrase haha, we call ourselves that proudly. Born and raised western mass here, I am new to picking and definitely interested in some meetups!
I might be willing to drive out to the boston area for some cool events but is there anyone else from western/central mass on here?

nobody here from Western Mass ;-)

I think we're the only two from the 413 as far as I know. I dont know of any meet ups at the moment. I'm down here in Springfield, and you're way the heck up in there off Rt 2. The Whately Diner off I-91is pretty much half way for each of us.

I'm pretty new but looking to learn more, get more practice, and share the locks and experience I do have. I'm in Worcester so not super convenient for Boston or western Mass... I haven't seen too much info about the Boston TOOOL chapter and I usually work weekends, so that makes it tough. However if anyone from eastern or western Mass wanted to do something during the week or even a weekend with enough notice, I'd be interested.

Is TOOOL Boston still active? Haven't heard much about them recently.

TOOOL Boston is active. They have a spot. look at the TOOOL site and go to the calendar. It will list the info.
Last meeting there were 6 of us. mostly newbies.

Greetings,

I had the opportunity to visit old friends and make some new ones when I drove out east to the Boston area Sunday to attend the monthly TOOOL meeting at the Artisan's Asylum maker space in Somerville MA.

Big ups to dontlook who runs the TOOOL Boston chapter and Frey Grimrod and Teamstarlet as well. I haven't seen some of these folks since DEFCON, and I haven't been to a Boston meeting in about 5 years since I moved. Also good to meet everyone new who was there, including some folks who spend a lot of their time on reddit's /lockpicking sub reddit perhaps they will visit here as well now that they know about lp101!

They run a great and well attended meeting, and the maker space that hosts the meetings is one of the premier ones in the nation. I was too busy chatting and picking but I did manage to take a photo.

this was one of the 3 tables =)

For anyone looking to attend a great meeting, contact these guys! They'll be busy with BSides Boston next month, and the next meeting will be in May, where a certain forum admin may talk about safe locks and manipulation for a few hours until everyone falls asleep

=)

I recognize one of Femurat's dimple picks!

Good variety of locks to pick there, too.

It was great to see everyone who attended the meeting this weekend. :D

We are still active and have done a pretty good job at keeping to the schedule on http://toool.us/meetings.html.

We have a setup a page here that has answers to the most common questions I get from people as well as a link to the mailing list where we post when we occasionally do cancel a meeting.
http://bit.ly/tooolboston

We are always happy to see new folks and encourage folks to keep coming back! While we sometimes do plan things most of the meetings are an open format. I do have a big bag of chapter locks for picking, some public use picks, and we all bring some of our own collections we are happy to share.

I will be in Boston on the 27th December for a few days. If I can it would be great to say hi, if I have time. Maybe drop off some locks from this side of the world.

That would be awesome. As of right now, I will be in town.

Drop me a line as things get closer and we can hash out details. I can pick up some stuff from here you want to bring home.

Cheers. Dontlook. If any other Bostonians would really like UK stuff that you wouldnt see your side , let me know.
If you give me an early heads up it gives me more time to trawl ebay. Or see any offers on tools.
