Have you come across this Padlock!?

Postby DerekM804 » 27 Mar 2017 0:19

Hi guys I was recently at the store today and I came across this padlock. it's called sea choice and the model number is 37211. I got it home and was able to pick it up in about five minutes and on trying to pick it I was getting spool pin feedback. I only paid about eight dollars and 30 some cents for this padlock but after I picked it because I was intrigued that this little unknown name brand to me had spool pins in it I did my research and I couldn't find any videos on YouTube and nothing on any lock picking forms or etc. so I was just curious I wanted to know anybody else the start of they come across this if anybody has seen it I'm sure I'm not the only one by far but just most locks I type in online and there's always been a video of somebody picking so I have attach three images of the lock, the keyway and the key so if anybody else's come across it I just want to know your thoughts on it I believe it uses a yale keyway. But like I said with not being able to find much information on it wanted to hear your guys thoughts and here are the pictures.

How do I do that because when I click on the image it brings up all three pictures on Imgur website so I'm not sure I'm understanding what you mean so if you could please explain that way I can fix it that would be great thank you

There's a link in the upper right menu that say how to attach pics, here it is again viewtopic.php?f=2&t=60483&p=445410#p445410

The padlock looks a 4 pins with a quite simple bittings, so it's the right one to learn with. I'm not surprised it was easy for you, since you have some much more difficult locks in the background. You haven't found anything about that lock because it probably is a generic brand and it's not so common.

Cheers :)

The [image] code to show pictures right in the forum expects a certain value which is http:// + domain name + / file path + file type .jpg/.gif/.png

The imgur link you pasted is a link to the entire imgur album where the 3 pictures are and our [inage] tag doesnt know how to display that. So if you are linking to that album, use [URL] instead of [image] and it will make a clickable link to it, or get the Direct Link from Imgur of each picture and paste each pics path here using the [image] command which as I said expects a .jpg or .png or .gif at the end, but you cant just slap a .jpg to the end of an album path..

Hope that helps,
Squelchtone

Chinese made with Yale keyway. Probably not cut to yale specs and pins not to yale spec of any kind. Companies in China will make these with your own branding. Have to buy in lots of like 5,000 or more. Hard to tell how many of this same padlock are out there with different brand names.

Sorry about the confusion with not being able to post a picture right I'll try harder on my next post with an image but I was just curious if anybody had come across it and it doesn't say anywhere made in China I'll have to go back and look at the packaging I'm pretty sure it was but I found it at ace hardware store and I was really shocked that I had sport pins in it for only seven dollars
