"Quality" Six Lever Padlock

Picked this lock up a little while back and just now brushed the rust off of it. Did not come with a key. Besides being double sided apparently, should it impression like any other lever lock? Any leads on finding a double sided barrel key for this sort of padlock? Looked at the Ilco catalog and they do not seem to carry anything like it. Have some ideas on making a key blank for it, but off the shelf would sure be easier.

Silca almost definitely makes the blank that you need for the lock. I would take some measurements of the post, hole diameter, and depth of the hole. Then I would use the Silca 207 catalog to find blanks with matching dimensions.

Blue Dog Keys may be able to help you out too...

Thanks for the lead. Looks like MBA carries Borkey. Has one that might work, for $15--ouch.

They are not 'levers' in the true sense but are hooks that engage the shackle. A blank key will push two (or four) of the hooks clear of the shackle leaving the remaining ones holding the shackle so impressioning should be easy. There is often a baffle between the levers so first of all a narrow full depth cut is needed each side of the key to clear the baffle.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

Looked up a Silca key blank as RedE suggested, found one that might work, now just need to find a distributer. If it does not cost less than the Borkey's from MBA, as Bill suggested, then might be a matter of brazing together some brass.
