Victor Finials

Hi guys,

I just acquired a Victor safe in rough condition.













Unlike all the other finials I've seen that thread into the hinges, the finials on this safe seem to attach via a threaded post. Is that normal? Does it tell you anything about the age/model of this safe?

Rough or Not.. I still love the look of an old safe.. Did someone break in through the bottom

I can only assume that they did so. The safe has also been drilled once (that I noticed on first glance).

Does anyone know what the 14X etched into the plaster/concrete on the back of the door means? I believe my other Victor has an 8X.

Not sure about the number .. could just be a inspectors number ..
