What does your key do when you insert it? How many degrees does it turn in order to retract the deadbolt? Is there any friction during this? Open the door and while it is swung open, turn the key so the deadbolt is sticking out of the door and then turm the key to retract it and note how many revolutions or degrees it takes to retract the bolt.
Now with the door still wide open, make the deadbolt come out of the door again and pick it. Perhaps without going into the door frame it will have less friction on the bolt. Another reason we tell people not to practice on locks that are being used and relied on.
If that still doesnt work then short of seeing a video of you turning the picked lock with your wrench, we cant offer better advice.
Good luck
