What are the strange symbols in this post

Can some one tell me what caused the strange symbols in my copy of that post and is there a way to correct them?

they're apostrophes, accents or similar symbols encoded differently in different systems. So you write "I'm" and someone gets a weird symbol between the I and they m.

Dunno how to correct them, sorry
