He came hoping for a lesson in lock picking.
He left with a full course in how being a pretentious pseudo-intellectual can have social consequences.
In fact, I do believe the schooling was so intensive that the man deserves another doctorate.

Out of curiosity, checked when he last logged in so we can see how many of our responses he read before not coming back. He last visited 23 minutes after his OP. So he has yet to see a single response. All our valuable input gone to waste. Gordon

If he set it up right, he will get an email notification every time someone posts.. And you don't have to be logged into see the replies..
When I finally leave this world.. Will someone please tell my wife what I have REALLY spent on locks ...

I'm not sure our phpbb does the snippits of reply, I think it just tells you there is a reply and provides a link to it, albeit you dont have to be logged in to *read* most of the forum.

The Who. "Doctor, Doctor"
Doctor, there's something wrong with me My health is not all that it used to be My heart is out of beat, I got chokers on my feet My eyesight's getting dimmer, I can't see
Doctor thanks for seeing me today, I'm glad, I've got every sickness there is to be had I had whooping cough last month And today I've got the mumps And tomorrow I'll catch chicken pox as well.
Doctor doctor doctor make me well I've not got long to go now I can tell Doctor doctor doctor make me well I've not got long to go I can tell I've not got long to go I can tell
Those pills I took have no effect at all Just the other day I had a nasty fall And I think I broke my jaw when it hit the kitchen floor And I'm shrinking last week I was five foot four
I've been getting shivers lately, is it flu? I know the bug is going round, what can I do? It's about to pick on me, I've still got the other three Do you think I caught smallpox I'd get flu?
[chorus]
Do you think it's time that I made out my will? I'll leave everything to you to pay my bill Just how long is there to go Please tell me I want to know But on second thoughts don't tell me, I'm too ill.

He may not be logging on, but he's here, and he's getting more and more frustrated. Wanting to respond, but not wanting to let us know these posts are eating at him.
Doctor, you're not logging on under your original screen name, but you're lurking here, reading these. Probably as a guest, but perhaps you've signed up again with a different screen name? How do I know? Because that's what I'd do if I were in your place.
I'm right, aren't I, Doctor? You're here, I can tell. Tell me I'm wrong.
Come on Doctor, just say hello .... Just one more itty-bitty post. Pretty please .... with sugar and Ph.D.'s on top?

Good afternoon, I suggest you start with a Y1 key blank and impression the lock. this lock will leave very nice markings. I would not recommend attempting to bump this lock as you are likely to cause damage to the lock. if you are not a locksmith I would recommend that you find a good one in your area who should be able to impression that lock for you within an hour (at most). Best of luck
Regards, SafeTech403

Come on now, be serious. The guy asked how many cylinders such a lock would have. Does any one know?

Hah! Nice try, Jacob Morgan, but it is a trick question. It is a steamer trunk, so it was powered by one of these: A few years later, Yale introduced a trunk model with a lock that used an inline four cylinder petrol/gasoline engine, and an upgraded model powered by a Ford Flathead V8 engine. But, as stated, this is a steamer trunk. Gordon
