Defiant locks

Thinking of upgrading your door security? Getting a better deadbolt or padlock? Getting a new frame or better hinges? Not sure what brand or model to go with for your particular application? Need a recommendation? Feel free to ask for advice here!

I have to agree with smokingman, unless you have strengthened up your door jambs, hardware, and door itself and can prevent entry through windows there's no real advantage in using a super secure lock

It did not take long for me to scrap the idea of securing my house. If someone wants in they will get in, stopping all angles of attack would cost me more than buying a new home. I would rather save my money for locks I will play with. I did get a half decent security camera setup, I just have to find time to install it.

I like to install a heavy good quality gun safe & put the treasure in there
I have friends who like to bury their treasure, others like to hide it. For really good
stuff you can rent a safe deposit box, some banks will give it to you for free or even a reduced rate
$35 a year to lock stuff in a bank vault is not a bad deal

I really do not own anything of real value anymore. Every material possession I owned was taken from me a while back. I guess that kind of invoked the desire to secure everything; though due to the nature of the situation, all of the security in the world would not have stopped anything.
Can't get robbed if you got nothing to lose!
