I am in need if 100 American Series 5200 locks with or without keys, as I can key them myself. I do need the complete locks. Other than taking my chances on EBay, are there any other reputable sites where I can order American locks in that quantity?

Most of the locksmith supply companies.
For people suggesting - keep in mind that WilsonTrucking is in Canada.

Would Locksmith Supply Companies sell to someone who is not a licensed locksmith? These locks are not for me personally but for my company. I will be buying them under my company name, if that makes any difference.

Just buy them from a locksmith in your area. 100 locks is not really a large order. Most locksmith shops should be able to fill that order in a couple of days.

Unfortunately, the closest locksmith is 3 hours away and they don't deal with padlocks. Period. The only deal with safes, autos and buildings without padlocks.

A locksmith near me has a huge supply of Schlage Kryptonite stainless steel padlocks. We both are in a very rural area. I would say that the qty that he has will do him for many years. "C" keyway, 6 pin. He will probably let them go at a good price.

Actually this sounds like a great time for you to open your first real account with a locksmith distributor let me know if you need some distributor names and phone numbers as you have said you wish to become a locksmith soon anyhow

I pm'ed you the 5 distributors I know of that are in Canada, according to Locksmith Ledger I think Locksmith Ledger/ The National Locksmith magazines will help you more than paying ALOA will--Even if you learn one thing a year from the locksmith magazines I listed, they will likely have paid for themselves. Plus you can buy an inexpensive Bond Card from either magazine, which can be anywhere form a necessity to a big help in securing your locksmith business
Call some of those distributors (or all) I pm'ed you, tell them you want to open a new account and ask if they can send you 'open account' paperwork. With an open account you normally get 30 days to pay your bill & many times a 2% discount if you pay your bill inside of 10 days-- this can really help make ends meet on a big job, but it often takes weeks or months to receive an answer on the open account status.
open account status doesn't involve your 'credit rating'-- when a company grants you an open account it is because they trust you & they trust you because they will ask you all about everything, including your SS #, bank accounts, ect...

Hmm, I wonder if my existing business bank account would suffice. I only pay out about $15,000 a month in expenses at the moment. Going to double in October if I decide to put a second truck on the road.
