Is there a guide? I am not getting the search results I expected. The " quote " for exact match doesnt seem to work. Is there a "drill down" or can you search within search results?

I rarely , rarely use wild strings, boolean, or even "not". Unsure if I attempted correctly but no luck.

The phpBB FAQ page has a section on Searching

https://www.lockpicking101.com/faq.php

Also note that the way phpBB indexes posts by keyword is not as powerful in its algorithms as lets say Google is.

Sometimes I actually use Google to find stuff on the forum. For example if I wanted to find posts on anodizing pick handles, in the Google search box I would type this: anodizing pick handles site:lockpicking101.com and then Id press Enter or click Search

If I search for the same terms using the forum Search, here are the results: search.php?keywords=Anodizing+pick+handles&terms=all&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sr=posts&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search

Are you getting different results? What search terms are you typing in?

I'm 2nding Squelchtone's suggestion about using google to search the site instead of the forum's built-in search.

Just type in site:lockpicking101.com in the search box along with your keywords.
