Super Max Security 7-pin Practice Lock

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

It arrived in today's mail - that was fast.

Nice hefty lock. I was impressed by the meticulous packing.
(It took my son-in-law a good 10 minutes to open and unpack)

A very nice and complete collections of pins & springs. I am certain he'll be repinning this for a long time before he gets bored with it or has it, "memorized."

The smile on his face was worth it, thanks Mr Wizard.

Now I have to go over to their place and try my hand on it.

If anyone is interested I still offer my practice lock here to members. I now have free shipping in USA and slightly reduced price at this time. I have lots of them ready to go upon requests just private message me if you would like one or have questions. Happy to ship internationally but there will be a shipping cost.

I want to thank everyone that has supported my effort to bring to you the most complete practice lock kit, and hope to be able to continue to do so. My 7 pin Schlage keyway locks are still manufactured in USA unlike the other inferior knock off 7 pin ones you see including the Adversary. You can tell the difference by the obvious missing made in USA stamped on the lock and the cheaply made imported 7 pin locks have 2 huge 1/4 holes drilled in the back side all the way to almost the front. I assume they have done this to save on the brass and the shipping weight. Also China made brass has impurities in it like various ferrous metals mixed in. Mine will always be made in USA until they cannot be supplied anymore. I know that day is coming so I have a stock on hand available now but is getting hard to get new stock when they are gone.

However the Adversary is stamped with ANSI 156.
I have inquired as to the grade of ANSI spec 156 - I or II or III as that would make a huge difference.

And no, the back of the lock is the same as Mr.Wizards. No holes for weight relief etc.

It does have the smaller Schlage opening which makes it a bit tighter to work.

The diameter for the stacks is larger. A "standard" Allen wrench does not work. (most if not all of the locks I own or have played with can be re-keyed using a single wrench - this one is the first to use a larger plug & wrench)

The assortment of pins is about the same - 100 or so pins of many different sizes. Security pins - serrated & spool (two sizes of each).
Two spring compression configurations and extra hex screws.

They include some wafer driver pins.

It'll be interesting to comparing wear of the two.

Yes on early ones they made and old stock found they had no holes but things have change. I have pictures right here from a member that bought both and theirs had holes guaranteed and obvious.

Mine has over 180 pins which is more than a few more. But who's counting....oh ya me! :D

Happy to hear your Son-in-law has been using Wizard's lock for 7 months on a daily basis. Better on the bench than in a drawer.

Thanks for the support.
