My first Primus picked video

I picked this for the Reddit hall of fame and thought I'd share on here. Sorry about the vertical video, I had no stand for my phone and had to rest it in an akward position. I'd like to hear anyones thoughts on my sidebar technique!

Nice work, I have used a very similar looking homemade .015" flag to pick the sidebar but used more of a raking technique. Also I've had a lot of success with a specific sidebar rake tool. How would you summarize your technique? It looks as if you move back to front randomly raising/rotating fingers and then individually picking the fingers that are not yet set?

Basically I go up and down the stack feathering the pins one by one until I find a binder, then I test rotational movement, if rotation doesn't set the pin I lift a bit and rotate again. Just keep checking and setting binders, work them till they jiggle and repeat. once you have developed a feel for the finger pins there is almost nothing random about it, just methodically working them until you have all five picked. The biggest secret is having a proper tool, I got nowhere until I made my own.

Am I making any sense? If you would like I can elaborate further. Btw my flag is 20 thousandths, slowing me the stiffness to work anything tightly bound but thin enough not to over set the lowest pins.

I certainly think you are making sense, but I would be happy to read any further elaboration if possible. I find that when I write about lock picking my ability to articulate my actions with high-resolution is rarely effective, so I would love to read a more detailed breakdown for the information and for some pointers about describing some of these things.

Great job by the way! I saw this video over on the Reddit, but I am not sure I gave you the proper adulation in the comments.
