What are those two little holes near the key hole ?

Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

What are those two little holes near the key hole ?

Postby antimafia2 » 23 Sep 2017 16:23

Hi, this is my first post... and I am sorry I am not a lock picker.
I am just here to ask u about my cylinder... it has two strange holes.
This is the photo:

The cylinder is a kaba expert. I have already seen that the cylinder on the internet has not that holes.
Also they are just only on the front.. I mean the side outside the door.
And this https://i.imgur.com/BeatyOi.jpg Image is the side inside the the flat.
As u can see in the last image there are not any holes.
Anyone has any idea on what are these holes ?
Oh.. just an other thing. The holes are superficial. I mean they are a kind of a little half sphere.
If u need of more photos just ask.
Thank u.

Drill protection hardened steel pins go in there.

You did post a picture! ;)

If you want to see more, then do what the rest of us would do - google. Try looking for Kaba's home page. Many lock companies like to show their drill protection. :)
