a film called Do Not Duplicate about a NYC locksmith

Postby Squelchtone » 9 Oct 2017 19:50

So I went to the 2017 Antique Lock Show in Terryville Connecticut over the weekend, and while that will be it's own post with lots of photos, that's not the main reason I'm mentioning it. I bumped into Phil Mortillaro, owner of Greenwich Locksmiths, a shop in Manhattan that I got to visit with femurat a while back.

I'm not sure if I just never knew about this or had forgotten about it, but back in 2012 someone took interest in Phil's work and the artistic way in which he decorated the outside of his shop. They made a film called Do Not Duplicate, and Phil told me to watch it if I have not seen it yet.

I found the trailer, and will have to get my hands on the whole movie now.

Enjoy:

I think I found it!
in case you have kids, it's a little gritty with the language and they drop the F word a bit, so just heads up.

Visiting that shop with you was a great experience! I still remember the long chat we had with Phil and Phil junior and the enthusiasm we all had about locks.
I just watched the movie, very interesting. I wish we saw it before going there...

Cheers :)
