Keyed cylinder stuck at 90 degrees

I bought a pro steel Browning gun safe that was missing the keyed cylinder that locks the S and G dial. I tried installing the new keyed cylinder, but it turned 90 degrees, got stuck, key won't come out, dial stuck on "zero." How do I remove keyed cylinder and align properly?[[image][/image]/image]]

From your original post, it sounds like you inserted the cylinder in the wrong way,
it is not in time with it's interior component, therefore it will not turn, if you had
turned it over and then inserted it, all would be well now.

Of course, you left the door open, for just such an occurance, right?

I am honestly concerned with your problem, but without a picture I have no way to help you

Since the door is open, then take the back cover off the lock, remove the spline key, and unscrew the drive cam from the dial spindle.

Then you can slide the dial/spindle out of the door. You may be able to do something when you can access the back of the dial.

I think you can remove the lock back plate, being careful not to fire the relockers. Then remove the spline key. Unscrew the cam and then you should be able to remove the dial.
Once you have the dial in your hands it should be easy to remove and fit the lock correctly, right?

When you get the dial off turn it over, on the back of the lock cylinder is a small brass tab,
depress that tab and push out the cylinder--Then turn the cylinder 180 degrees and re-insert it--
now it should turn with the key
