Need Your Help finding Assa Door Hinge

Postby armana87 » 30 Dec 2017 15:10

Hey everyone, i have looked all over the internet for these hinges and for some reason i can only find it on swedish websites....and those websites will not ship to the USA. I have also emailed Assa Abloy but can never get a response from them. Can anyone help me find these or if you can get them, sell to me? I need 10 pieces that were lost during my remodel. I need the mounting plates only in white color.

Are you in the UK? If your frame is wood then I would just chisel it out for a normal butt hinge.

Never mind, I see you are in the USA. I have never seen them on a house in the USA or do you have them on a boat? I assume you already know you are looking for the 2465 mounting plate.

If you cannon't find the hinges in the States you could use a parcel forwarding company to get them shipped from Sweden to the US. I have used similar forwarding services to get locks from Germany and the UK that would originally not ship here. The cost for both service and shipping is around $20-$30. Might be less for you since the hinges could be consolidated into a smaller package.

So, not sure if you know this but Assa Abloy is like General Motors, they own 40 other lock companies, ASSA is one brand, Abloy is another brand, Medeco and Mul-t-lock are also brands they under their umbrella.

You may get more traction emailing someone at ASSA in Sweden. https://www.assa.se/sv/site/assa/kundservice/ Email in English, but also try a free online transalator and copy/paste both languanges into your email. or email the ASSA branch in the US https://www.assalock.com/en/site/assalock/contact-us/

Either that or keep on looking for them in case you think there's still a chance they're in one of your moving boxes.

good luck,

Doesn't look like a hinge. Looks more like a strike.

It is part of a hinge, it just looks a bit odd.

I can get about anything in ASSA from a wholesaler in PA. Can you give me info on the item you want? He can order it.

Found it in the catalog. Send the info to my supplier for pricing on 10 pieces of the mounting plate shown but in lacquered white.

Armana87, I can get hinge plates for you. I need to know exactly which you need. Is it exactly like the photo you posted except in white color. This is a special order since it is not stocked in the US. He will not take returns on special items. Pricing will be around $20 each. I wont know until I know which plate you need.
