Hey everyone!
So my wife and I have always had an interest in lock picking even while dating about 15 years ago my now wife helped herself to the pick set I've had since I was about 11. Many years later she now has a little set of her own that we bought her at a gun show which is very cheap and generic but she loves it. We've just recently (4-5 months) began watching BosnianBill on YouTube religiously. Earlier this week without her knowledge I decided to order that super cheap blue pick set and piece of junk blue acrylic practice lock on Amazon. When it showed up in the mail I realized the quality was exactly as expected... Trash!! But it was neat to have some handled new picks for once and I played with them for about an hour before throwing in the towel to temptation and ordering the Sparrows night school + tuxedo edition, a set of sparrows cut-away progressive locks and the repining kit. When the wife got home she saw the box of cheap blue picks and got very excited, I haven't told her that I spent a couple hundred bucks on what I believe to be much nicer set of picks and practice locks because I know she will claim them as her own if she finds them. Sorry for the long background but I thought it was important to explain our low level of skill and ability but long term love for the industry when I ask this question. What would a be a good set of picks and practice locks be for my wife? Her 30th birthday is next week and seeing her excited over that cheap set made me realize it would be a very cool birthday present.
All of your input is appreciated.
