VINTAGE MILNERS SAFE

Hiya
Have beautifully VINTAGE MILNERS SAFE.
Purchased from sale years ago of Albion Vintage Trucks.
It may container some documents relating to Albion History and would like to get it open.
Don't want to damage it...have serial numbers...or would it be possible to drill out lock?causing minimal damage that we can repair...as would like to get blank key to recut to get old girl working again.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

There is another post here from a few months back with someone else having a Milners that needed opening. That lock is no joke, and I'm in the USA with little lever lock experience, so I'll let our UK members help you out.

the other Milners thread: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=64635#p482072

reading it again sound like maybe a trip to your local lockie or safe technician is the best way to go. there probably isnt some simple trick we could tell you to tap a hammer here or drill a wee hole there.

could you show us a photo of your safe? (not just a google image of a similar one, please show us photo of yours for best chance at getting accurate information.

Thanks,
Squelchtone
