I picked a couple Master #3's, a brinks (looks like a relabeled Master #3)
I ran across an ASUS, which was small, I couldnt get my pick beyond the first pin. I'll give that a go another time with diff pick and tensioner. the Master #3's took only a few seconds (less than 10) each with SPP.
I of course remained undetected, made sure I moved in the shadows.

We don't pick other people locks.

If this is a joke, you got me. Please clarify it for me.

some of it was jokingly (the combo part, and the clandestine of course), I had permission to open any lock I attempted. so dont worry.
yesterday and today, working with my resident locksmith, I acquired a couple locks, the previously mentioned ABUS 40/55 or 55/40, forget which it was, its small, and I cant seem to get pick beyond my tension bar. so holding that for later. (I orderd some TOK bars) I did get a 80/45 today though, and have been able to SPP it more than a few times, it appears to be an original 800 core, but the other 83 series locks I have access to seem to all have Schlage Everest cores so this core is not everest but may not be original either.

Just to be crystal clear DWeb - we do NOT condone criminal activity in any way, shape or form. If you are joking, you need to be absolutely clear that it is a joke, and don't make any more jokes along these lines.

i had hoped the tension wrench in a combo lock, or clandestine in the shadows (skyrim) references would give away the joking nature of the post

Thank you, DWeb. :)

We always have to be sure that the news media does not have fodder to claim we are a training site for criminals. As we know, we solely support the ethical, legal hobby of locks and locksport.

Lockwood 334 w/ Generation 6 B13 core

Continuing with the Generation 6 series, another lock that I picked up today. Another super tight keyway, had to lever from the topmost ward. Full of skinny spools, much easier than oversetting standards.

i did have to go through like 50 keys to find the one to remove it from where it was attached. wasnt a place that would have been appropriate to pick, and needed to be removed.

First disc detainer! Used the ubiquitous $5 chinese DD pick, used way too much tension when starting, and just ended up with sore fingers. After lightening up the tension some, got my open. Great example lock for newcomers, don't go to heavy on the wire wheel when cleaning up a dirty / rusty lock, or you will remove all the chrome from the shackle, and all the coating from the body. Use steel wool, or a lighter wheel of some sort, or you lock will end up looking like this!

Well done adi, I also got a DD picked today!

A couple weeks ago I got small lathe and mill so I could start building tools for locks that needed them. I've always wanted an Abloy tool and decided that this would be my first project. Having never machined anything before it was a slow process getting started. After a few hiccups I finished my first tool earlier this week. While it was theoretically capable of picking a Classic there were some flaws I found that if corrected would make it more functional. I made a second tool yesterday and this one works much better and glides between the discs with ease. After some practice using it I finally got my first Abloy picked tonight.

I still need to add the depth/space markings on the handles. It's nice knowing I can pick a lock without them but I think the markings would make picking much easier.

The newer tool is on the bottom and the older on top. I changed the size of the tensioner on the second tool so that it could pick camlocks that only tension off one disc.

Today I got a couple more Abloy's picked including an 11 disc 3020 padlock. I'm starting to get the hang of detecting false vs true gates on the discs. My first Abloy above took me a few hours to get open and today the 3020 only took a few minutes.

I disassembled this padlock a week ago for test fitting. I reassembled it yesterday and it works but I can't remember where this spring is suppose to go? It fits beneath the shackle on the left of the lock but I think it might go behind the plug too. Does anyone know for sure where it goes?

I figured out where the spring goes on the 330 padlock. It fits behind the plug like I thought.

This one didn't take long, I didn't feel any false gates either. I'm not sure if it will lock it up I rotate the plug the full 360 degrees needed to unlock the deadbolt. I'm gonna start on the Fontaine next, I'll likely need to build something to tension it though.
