Sparrow Revolver?

Looks like a neat a fun thing to have on the desk but I wonder if it is more flash than substance?

Anyone own one?

I got Mr.Wizards lock for my son-in-law. It became too easy to manipulate. I could swap out regular pins for serrated or spools or mushrooms and it was no challenge.
You had to go to great lengths to find a hard combination.

He then bought the 7 pin adversary, which is basically the same thing as Mr Wizards product.
And just like Mr.Wizards, he found the "pattern" of the stacks and no matter what I stuck in there, security pins or whatnot, he could manipulate it fairly easily.

So he tells me about Sparrow and I order the mini pinning mats.
(I don't use mats as a matter of course. I spill a lot of stuff on the work space and work from there. The two mini mats work for me. Whoda thunk?)

Then he tells me about the revolver and I order one for him.

Great idea.
We'll see in the end how it stacks up as a challenge.

I've had one for a couple of months now. For the price it's great. Unfortunately, the binding order doesn't really change so once you've picked it a few times you know the order regardless of pinning.

So each bible seems to be cut the same? No variation between?

I can only speak for my own copy but certainly seems so - I know the first two pins always set the same in all four at least. But what I really meant was that even if all four were radically different, you'd pick the thing a few times and know the order for each bible. I still think it's handy to learn on either way.

After playing with it for a while I think each bible has it's own binding order.
The core is the same so 50% of the lock never changes but the stack shafts in the individual bibles do not seem to be cut identically.
